Sway bar compatability question.

Will a 28mm Neuspeed swaybar fit 4th and 5th gens?

Thanks,
Michael

The guy is not sure if it is 28mm or 25mm. Did Neuspeed use to make a 28mm rear sway bar?

the Neuspeed 28mm bar is a rare find.. If it's truly a 28mm bar be sure that you reinforce the bracket mountung locations or you will tear the subfrae (experience speaking here)

I'm not 100% sure that the bar will work accoss the two generations, I've had plenty of oppurtunity to check but I just keep forgetting to. BUT the brackets are the same and the bars are the same width so I can't see why it won't work.

So, would you say that the 25mm bar would be preferred over the 28mm bar? Or just that the 28mm bar is going to require addition install work.

Reinforce the bracket mounting locations how? Welding additional iron? More detail please.

28mm bar require additional install work. I ended up making two plates (to act like washers) from 1/4" steel and bolting the mounting bracket through the floor of my trunk using 1/2" diameter bolts..

Thanks. Sounds like I would probably be happier with a 25mm bar. Have you had the chance to experience both bars?

I driven my car with the 28mm Bar and a 5th Gen with a 25mm bar. but since our suspension set up was fairly different (and the car were completely different body styles (I have a 4ht Gen) I cannot make an "apples to apples" comparision.
