Swapping spoilers - Questions

My 92 spoiler is held on by 4 bolts (2 each side). I want to switch to an LED spoiler, which has the same 4 holes, but it also has two bolt threads coming down through the spoiler right in the small circle area on the bottom of each side of the spoiler. I assume these are meant to put some nuts on the other end inside the trunk to help hold it down.

Im not sure if these extra threads are a year related thing or a LED/nonLED related issue, but for those who have swapped to an LED, did you have to drill two new holes in your trunk lid?

Also, is there an additional hole that needs to be made to feed the LED wire through?

I didn't have to drill any extra holes for my LED spoiler. I dunno what you're talking about with the 2 extra threaded bolts. And I just ran the wires through one of the already drilled holes instead of drilling another.

I'll take a picture to show you what I mean.

In the hole you ran the wire down, did you also use a bolt? I don't see there being room for both.

Sorry for the crappy quality, but my digital camera is busted. So like I was saying, the small circular part contains a thread sticking out. It looks as if its meant to stick through and perhaps have a nut on the other end.

Is this normal? Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks to Prelude Styl for the help. I used a vise grip and that bolt stud came right out. My helms shows the bolt stud there so I guess they added it to the later years. I'm sure it will be okay with just the 2 bolts per side.

As far as the wiring, there is no way i could fit the wires down the same hole as one of the bolts so I found it necessary to widen the hole to accomodate the wires.
