I bet it's the wrong ECU and the injectors aren't changed out.

If it's not the ecu, then vtec isn't wired up.

It sounds like it's running in the "limp" mode

I think he's talking about that h22 lag.. maybe?
Mine does the same thing at this point.
So far I've changed out the primary o2, and I have a TPS valve on its way, so hopefully that'll do it.
Otherwise I'll bore out the IM ports and clean them, and if that doesn't do it, i'll just pull the codes.
BAH!
I hate that, but it's part of the "learning how to work on hondas" thing, huh Ken?

Seafoam?

Why is it that most people have no problems, but then there is always a group that has this SAME problem with the h22?

I feel that a lot of the issues have to do with previous owners, and their driving habits.
The last owner of my Prelude drove it hard, but took great care of it..
It's in great shape, but I just replaced the Primary o2 and egr and they were SPENT!
I've got a TPS valve on order, and will be taking apart my IM and THrottle body assy to clean them really good too.
I also notice that the days the lag is really bad, my MPG goes WAAYYYY down. Like really badly.
Hopefully all this stuff will do the trick. And hopefully the thread starter can learn how to clearly convey his questions in english.

what injectors should have been in there?

also, its whenever i smash it, but i dont take it to vtec...so limp mode will still affect it at lower rpms? no, i havent hooked up the vtec wire, i havent seen it done, but i know where it goes, so im a bit timid to do it myself.
im using a chipped p13, wanna be jun chip.

im takin you into consideration jsmoon

thanx for the input....even from the peanut gallery...again....

AHHH Yess

Has this ecu been used before?
Do Like previously stated and hook up all wires.
I would start here. When I first started programming chips I used a couple incorrect files(roms) and my engine would run but it would run very poorly and similar to your description. I WOULD NOT be driving on this ecu if you havent used it with success, with all the timing and fuel adjustments you can make with these chips I would be worried to harm my motor! Just my 2 cents. Good luck

Do you have aftermarket Cams? a buddy of mine had that problem. it was like when vtec kicked in everything was quiet so we decided to adjust the cam gear timing and everything was fine.
