suspension screwup

ok here i am tryin to put on my front coilovers on myself and i have come across some problems. i am ready to put it all back together, but which part do i do first? right now evrything is unbolted. for instance i put evrything together then couldn't get the control arm bolt back in. can anyone help assist me in reassembly?

ive heard of some people having to use a 2x4 to hold the arm up but you could prolly just use another person

the control arms are just a pita to get back in. use something to push up the hub and they go in a lot easier.

if everything is apart, is there any order on how i should reassemble it. axle is out, contol arm is out and alll the other bolts are off.

Put the shock/coilover in first. Then put in the upper control arm. Then axles, then lower ball joint (you didn't need to take apart the axles). Now put the fork in. You might need to loosely tighten the upper bolt of the fork first, and put down on the brake rotor to get the bottom bolt of the fork in. It's going to take a little work, but it'll get in.

To get to the shocks, it's much easier taking off the control arm from the chassis is much easier than taking off the ball joint on the control arm.

Look at the trouble he is having. The ball joint is so easy to take apart. I can have the entire suspension finished in under an hour without removing the control arms.

Just as a suggestion, next time separate the upper A-arm ball joint rather than the lower. Much easier and none of the hassle. For the lower control arm, use a jack to lift it into position.
