Okay all, I know there have been posts on this before but please help me anyways. After the trans being apart, thus having the suspension taken apart I go to get the car aligned. The guy showed me that I still had the factory springs, the car is 9 years old (BTW I am the 3rd owner of this car) and the springs HAVE to be replaced. Gimme information about this stuff. I have a friend who can put the springs on the struts/shocks for me. I don't know dick about suspension. Coilovers? I have heard horror stories about stuff rattling, speak to me everyone. Best combo's here. How does it all work.... BTW I am doing the install myself.

i used to have koni yellows and eibach prokit, but this drop wasn't low enough for me. So i went with eibach sportline and therefore also needed to buy some front and rear camber kits (because of tire wear)and in my opinion I preferably like the look with the sportline springs much better.
My car had two broken springs, I replaced them with Tanabe Sustec H's (1" drop but no longer available) and Koni shocks. Overall I like this combination a lot, minimal ride penalty and yet I can adjust it firm when I want to. Just remember it's a zero some game, more drop equals less ride quality etc. I'd skip coilovers unless you want the ride height adjustability, the cheap ones suck.
