Suspension help!

Sup.....I need help. I put lowering springs on my car a few months ago. While I was installing, the rubber seal on the upper control arm ball joint started to leak. I never replaced it and all I can do is keep putting grease in there but it just keeps leaking out.

I tried to just get the ball joint but can't....everyone tells me I have to buy the entire upper arm. Anyone ever have this problem. Plz, let me know.....thanx!

It's the front left by the way!

I'm fairly certain that you have to change the entire control arm, considering you have to take it off to change the ball joint.

Yeah......I was afraid of that. I was just hoping there was an easier way out. Oh well, guess I'll change my shocks and stuff while I'm under there I guess. Ugghhhh!!!

woah woah woah... before you go replacing your upper control arm...

is there anything wrong with the ball joint itself? or is the boot just leaking?

you can buy a new boot from honda for about $4 and replace it

all my ball joint boots are cracked. The ball joints seem fine, from the dealership the lower ones are 15 bux and the upper ones are 7.50( I might have that back wards) also if there is somthing wrong with the actual ball joint, there is a company called SPC that makes adjustable ball joints in which case you can buy just the ball joint. This might work good for you with a lowered car. There is no need to buy the whole control arm.

True, I didn't realize that. I'll check my joint. Hopefully it's still good....it should be. It'll be way better than spending $200 for a new arm. Thanx!!
