if you have time... i would recommend to remove it, clean it and add new grease... if you will do that.. b careful with the roof liner...

dont know if that would solve your poblem...

but i do that when i change it to glass and it works great

I imagine that your sunroof worked for a while by pushing it up a little b4 it quit completely. How long b4 it stopped completely? I as bc mine sometimes requires a little assistance. Thanks & g'luck with whatever you do. Keep us posted on how you fix it.

I have the same problem with my prelude. The way I fix it was to spray some WD40 on the tracks, and with a flat screwdriver I try to remove as much as possible the old grease that was there, and move the roof 1 inch at time. Don’t add any grease anymore the WD40 works just fine
Good look.

^WD40 isn't a good lubricant, it's more of a penetrant/solvent. It will dry up over time and probably won't react well to the grease that's already there. WD40 will work for the time being, but it is not a good permanent fix in my opinion.

Your best bet is to remove the sunroof panel, clean the tracks, lube the tracks with a good lithium grease, then put the sunroof panel back on.
There's a good chance the original lube is dried out and that there's a lot of dirt and gunk causing friction.

+1 on WD40 sucking as a lube.

I use rifle grease on my tracks

Any lube you put in the tracks will accumulate dust quickly if you use the sunroof alot. It needs to be cleaned out every now and then
