sunroof squeaking.... - Honda Prelude Forum

i tried doing a search to see if anyone has figured out wtf most 4th gen sunroofs squeak when they get older but to no avail... i posted this up on another board and heard no solutions... just a bunch more peeps whining about it...

anyone know a solution besides taking the whole damn thing out?.. to have it not squeak when closed... if i open it its fine of course... but not in the damn winter

Try regreasing the rails. it worked for me.

that's most likely all you have to do...take it off and clean it good, regrease it, assemble it..and it should be gone! Same thing happened to me, and that's all that was done..good as new!

Make sure the ceiling panel is secure when you reinstall it. I took my whole sunroof out and put it back in, and now it's totally fine, but it squeaks a little bit when it's all the way open. I have to open it all the way, then close it just a little bit and it's fine.
