sunroof problem??? - Honda Prelude Forum

Do any of you guys know how to take the sunroof off? I think something is caught in its path cause when i open or close it makes a really loud scraping noise. and the other day it got caught and wouldnt close. i figured if i took it off, cleaned it and regreased it that should help.

its loose bolts, or screws. there was a post on it a month or two ago search for that had good info

ive made it a point not to open it while not driving if girls are in the car..

what type of grease do i use to regrease it though?

Mine used to has gotten stuck a few times, so i wiped all the old grease off and re-greased it. Now it is smoother and isn't as noisy. You can reach just about every area of it when it is on the car. Good luck.

try that first

k thx for the help...hopefully just greasing it will do the job. but do i have to use any special type of grease ?

Go down to your local honda dealership and get some. Make sure the guy you get it from guarentees that it is for the prelude sunroof (or will work on it) cause you dont want to mess it up even more.

IT wont cost you that much.
