sunfoof motor opens slowly

my sunroof takes 20 mins to open and i can hear it straining, to close is worse, it wont move unless i help pull it shut. Do i need to replace the whole assembly? or jut motor?

man I used some grease and put it on the tracks that move back and forth -- usually with age the tracks will dry out and need to be regreased ---

I agree on regreasing the tracks... I regrease mine every few months because I drive with the top open a lot and it tends to dry out the tracks quicker. Just buy some white lithium grease (available at any hardware store) and slather some in the tracks. Then open and close the roof a few times to get all the grease worked in and tah-dah... smooth operation.
