Suggestions please...

I'd like to know from you guys what you think I should get for my 4th gen. Si when I decide to start upgrading the brakes. I thought of the AEM big brake kit, but I'm concerned about the quality of the kit...

i've heard that that kit warps very quickly. pearl type sh just got that rotora prototype big brake kit, but so far isnt much competition for big brake kits...

Yeah, but I think that's the only "kit" that is made for the 4th gen Si's. They make more for VTEC though, which pisses me off... I guess I'll just get some slotted/drilled rotors, and maybe some nice pads, not sure what kind and be done with it.

What else is made for VTEC front brakes that isn't made for Si's? I did the VTEC front caliper/rotor swap, and I like it, but I thought about doing the AEM big brake conversion for the rears... maybe something bigger for the front WAY down the line...

I think Brembo makes a Brake kit for the Vtecs and not for the Si's....

Doesn't Powerslot make some nice products for the Si's?

No, I haven't thought about that. I'd def. have to read up on it first, I don't know the slightest thing about it.

Why wouldn't you put slotted/crossdrilled rotors on your car? Because they heat up really quickly? I never considered that either...

Powerslot makes nice parts for every trim & model, IMO. I drive like a madman, and they are doing just fine.

Crossdrilled rotors will crack... I personally would upgrade to VTEC sized rotors (Brembo Blanks), and Legend calipers. Add in some good pads, and SS lines and you got yourself a nice brake setup.

Do you have any idea how much that would cost (ballpark figure) Tyler? The vtec rotor swap I mean.

slotted and crossdrilled are the biggest waiste, IMHO the heat up and crack to easily, they only look good. I would definetly do the legend/nsx upgrade.

I've got powerslot rotors on all 4 corners of my Si, I swear they fade quicker.....don't waste your time with these, they do look a little better though......hard to clean......

Well there is a place online that has legend calipers for about 206 for both and they are rebuilt. rotos will run around 75 and up depending on what you get. i think ss lines are around 100 bucks. and pads vary in price. all in all ide say at least 400 but that does say AT LEAST. hope that helps a lil. later
