Stupid shaking wont stop...HELP

i posted a little while ago regarding a problem with my prelude shaking...well the problem is even worse now. the car makes this popping sound on my drivers side whenever i gas it or let go of the gas pedal. on top of that, the car shakes like crazy when im accelerating. if i slowly accelerate then the shaking isnt all that bad, but if i gas it harder, it feels like the car is gonna fall apart...either way it still makes the popping sound. every bolt in the suspension is tight. the only thing thats been done to the car is replacing the drivers side axleand the ps pump. but the problem was there before i did either of those things...its just worst now. is there a possbility that the upper ball joint is wasted...how bout the lower joint that attaches the lower control arm to the knuckle? SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!! the popping sound and shaking is driving me nuts

the popping sounds I have heard and from what you described sounds like a cv joint --- but it also could be a warped rotor making the caliper clink... I would check the boots and see if there is a tear in them -- if not then look at the rotor and check the caliper clips

oh....heres another thing...when i was lowering the car back down after checking everything out..for some reason the car wouldnt go all the way down (ive got neuspeed race springs so the front is lowerd a little over 2 inches). and this was after the jack was already taken out from underneath the car. at first i thought that my garage was slanted so i started the car and backed it out. i could feel that something wasnt right when i was gassing it in reverse and then all of a sudden the car makes this loud ass popping sound and drops back down to the height it originally was....im thinking that all the problems that im having could be due to a bad axle...even though i just replaced that axle 3 weeks ago...any ideas? i really wanna resolve this so if anyones got any input, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Are you sure you put your upper and lower ball joints back in? Is all your suspension tight? You're car won't change height like that due to a bad axle, and it certainly won't shake like that either (unless you have an automatic and have a bad axle dampener). I would definately look at your supsension, especially if the problems started after you dropped the car and put it in reverse.

the lower ball joint was never removed with the exception of when the axle was getting replaced. and the car isnt an auto. the problems didnt start after i dropped the car...they started before...so thats why i jacked the car up to take a look. the whole thing about the car not being able to back to its original height is just another problem that i cant figure out...
