If I choose to go with the flywheel, what type do you recommend and what clutch would you suggest to go with as well. I'm really looking for something that gives that added power and is still suitable for a daily driver as I occasionally let my g/f drive the car. She's drives well, has the VTEC down pat, and I'm trying to sell her on the idea of dropping an H22 in her 94 accord. You guy's are a great help so far.

Fidanza makes a pretty good flywheel..as for clutches well that is your personal opinion. I have a centerforce carbon/kevlar dual friction clutch... but I have read that ACT makes a nice clutch too

Prelude2War- I'm glad we see eye-to-eye! You should go to the Tuner Bash in Daytona. Last summer me and 3 friends went to Orlando for a car show, only to find out they had cancelled it and never bothered telling anybody. But 2 good things came out of that trip- my bf, and I found out I have really great gas mileage. I made it down there on half a tank of gas, and back in less.

Crate- Was that Z24 a red, Cavalier thing with big ass chromies on it? I remember seeing it sit in the K-Mart parking lot at the beach forever.

Zorin- I'm by Beach and University, my bf is on Atlantic and Penman, so you are in between us. We should meet up some Saturday. PM me if you want to.

Everyone- Fresco Blue Pearl is a nice color, but it's purple nonetheless.

I've pretty much decided to go with the Apexi VAFC. Now the fun part is trying to find a good price on one. Modacar has a new one for $320 but I'm still trying to find one for less if possible. Later on I'll go with a lightened flywheel and clutch. It seems like a less expensive choice for the time being. Thanks for all the input.

Preludechic: I'm down for hanging out. I'm done with work at 10PM and I work Mon - Thurs. So let me know when and where. I've got a friend of mine that drives a Champagne 4th Gen that's been looking for other Lude owners to hang out with so I'm sure he'd be willing to hang out. Plus where I work there's a few 4th and 5th Gens I see in the parking lot when I walk in, but just don't know who owns them. I'm sure I could find out and get a couple of them to meet up at some point too. Just let me know.

P2W: How about a compromise on the color. Instead of Purple or Fresco Blue Pearl, why not compromise the name of the color. Possibly Fresco Blue Pearlple....hehehe! I'm kidding! I like the color and it's 4th gen anyhow, so who really cares what it's called. We all share the same common bond.

Cone dodging is fun, but why not kick the cone up onto the windshield of the car chasing you?

I don't doubt it for a sec. I'm going to get a strut bar, that's for certain, I just want a quicker car too.

I have a quick question and a few comments on helping out...

1 - is fresco blue pearl honda color code B64-P??? since I have a 93 and it is that color adn in the light its a pretty blue and in the dark is a weird blue that is almost purple... HOWEVER IT IS NOT PURPLE!!!

2 - advice on getting more low end!!! Advance your timing. its that simple i used to win a ****load of races on the street.

3 - practice launching from traffic signals (without cops around) raise your revs up and just rip off the line when the signal turns green. that is how i learned to do it... and there is no better way to practice... you can anticipate the green, practice launching, find the right rpm to shift in all conditions, the right rpm to launch, etc...

4 - as for suspension get a tower strut bar (front and rear) already... they are well worth it no doubt about that!!!

However I was shocked that with a jdm h22a and the ot her mods you mentioned that civics and integs (regular ones) are beating you... very odd being not many civics are that quick without a swap or a power adder (turbo nos or sc) what kind of times do u hit at the track?

I should have been a little more specific. For the most part the Civ's and Teg's I run against aren't stock. I don't really have a problem with stock ones. I have some friends with engine swaps (B16's) and the basic bolt-ons with some other minor HP upgrades...nothing major, but just enough to keep me behind them for the first two gears. The one civic that I've been having trouble with specifically is my friend Dave's 92 Civic Hatchback with a JDM B-16, I/H/E and AEM cam gears. Like I said, I don't know too much but he just rips me off the line and I'm playing catchup through 3rd. I don't think I'm outmatched by him, but I could just use some speed through first and second, when I get to third I'm fine.
