Strange sound when decelerating

This has been going on for a few months and its starting to bother me. Whenever i am in gear and decelerating there is a strange engine coming from the front end. It kinda sounds like an exhaust leak and the sound of reverse combined. Anyone else every experienced this?

Thanks!

Does it sound kind of like a rattling sound? Does it still have the timing belt auto tensioner or did you swap it for the manual one?

Auto. I dropped it off at the shop this morning and they said they fixed whatever was causing the sound so well see. I pick it up tomorrow. Didnt really seem like it was something that could just be fixed though... I'll let you know. Thanks for your responses on this thread.

The mechanic stated he just tightened up some things. my CAI was loose, i need a rear wheel hub assembly which i got replaced. I just called and the mechanic was at lunch so they are going to call me back and let me know exactly what they did.

The sound is pretty much gone now, but still hear it a little mainly in first gear decelerating from around 15 mph. They are going to take a look at it again next week.

Also they said it wasnt a engine noise, but rather than some loose things reverberating through the car when decelerating. I will post back when the mechanic calls.

Went ahead and ordered new headlights and FM short shifter today since im much happier with the lude now!
