Strange cooling issue

When I bought my car I was told that the air conditioner worked but just needed charged...of course it's completely empty and needs some fun air conditioning work down the line but that's not a hurry. My car consistently blows hot air no matter where the temp gauge is set it blows the same temperature...hot! I think I might be interrelated to the fact that when I turn the car off after driving for over half an hour my fans kick in and run really loud but I have no over heating issues. Is this a thermostat issue?? Thanks

i was told the same with the a/c... then i do the jdm cc and when i went to fill it, it seems that my compressor seal is broken. it do the same as yours, just hot air, maybe at night it could be something less hot.

the fans issue, i think that is because of the thermostat, but it is normal that you turn off your car and after 10-20 secs the fans start for about 1-2mins maybe less..

one think i found when i finish my jdm cc, when i replaced the hoses, i opened the heater valve and fill the rad (w/out putting the heater hoses), and the hose from the engine to the valve was clogged.

compressor seal sounds like it might be it. I'm going to have a mechanic take a look at it for me and see what he says

i went to an a/c center, and they filled a something of gas, and nothing happened... then the mechanic touch the compressor bolts (dont know wich ones) and they were dirty and then he told me about the compressor seal. That thing about the bolts appears in the helms, but maybe it cold be dirty with other thing dont know...

When I test the car before i buy it the a/c was working... after 1 week something like that I buy the car, but the a/c has this issue... maybe damaged it, or swapped it..

So, my lifting partner canceled on me today so I had the afternoon to mess around with the car. I took out the console cover, unhooked the shift boot and pulled out my radio to get out the climate control unit and found the wire running from the cool/warm air adjuster thingy. Well, where it connects at the low end was coming loose when it's adjusted too often. Problem solve and radio switched DIN placement...really successful day!

at least that was...

for the compressor seal and refill my a/c are asking me about $200...

another common problem, that appears almost everywhere, is that the pins need to be "resolded", and for non-experts, soldering that may be a lil difficult.
