i don't think they ever will stop.. i mean.. they save the design for whatever they need and if need be.. they call company a or b or z to produce a batch of like 30 things.. whatever they need.. and they hold it in a warehouse.. that's how it worked to my understanding.. i could be wrong

depends on what parts... most engine parts will still be made for years to come since the 5th gens share just about the same motor. Some parts are already discontinued and no longer able to get brand new from the dealer like the oem fogs and some other lil misc things, but as in major parts like engine, drive train, main body parts they should have it for quite awhile.

i was actually wondering this too. someday i would like to completely restore my lude to factory condition, but if they discontinue all the parts before i get that rich i'm sol

UWNTSUM is right, it depends on the part. I was having trouble finding certain parts for my '87 in the last year that i owned it (2002-2003). I'm sure they'll have those stupid plastic door moldings for years to come because they break off frequently.
