This was stolen

The '92 Prelude i now own was my step bros, but it was stolen from him and he didnt have theft insurance...blah blah blah, i got it for cheap.

The ignition is damaged(dont need a key) from when it got stolen and now the car has constant power. This causes a light on the stereo to stay on even after the car is off.

Is there anything i can do temporarily, until i can get a new ignition put in?

Find where they tapped the ignition wire and disconnect it.

Well then just unplug the whole ignition unit.

Sounds to me like the vehicle doesn't know when its not in key position I or II ..

If you think having to disconnect the battery is a pain, wait til you see how fun it is fixing your steering column and ignition. g'luck!

Just get a small switch and connect it to either the power or ground wire from your stereo.

First off, stop telling people all across the WORLD wide web that your car doesnt need a key to start.
