still won't go over 3500 rpm's

Got a 93 Si auto. The car has been frustrating me for 3 weeks now, Can't figure out why it won't go over 3500 rpm's. My mechanic doesn't know what's wrong and I don't wanna take it to Windsor Honda cause they tend to overcharge. Got a new distributor 5 or 6 weeks ago and about a week after the CEL came on and the car wouldn't go over 3500.

How do I find and remove the ECU, I'll try resetting it and I'll work from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Peace

Hey thanks for your help Satan. Might be getting a new engine instead. It has 198km's on it so I'll be in the market for a new engine. Got any reliable sources in Canada to look for an H23 or maybe even an H22 with a manual transmission? Gotta look at prices before I decide.

I would highly reccomend checking for the code. It will tell you why your car is going into limp mode which only allows it to rev to 3500.

Where exactly is the ECU on the 4th gen, the instructions were for a 5th gen, not sure if they're the same?

Thanks

This is what I got:

4 Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit
Malfunction / Range / Performance
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Crankshaft Position Sensor circuit
ECM
Timing Belt skipped teeth

Uh oh, doesn't look too good. Makes me wonder if I should just sell the car and get another Prelude or engine swap??? Going to the dealer tomorrow to have it looked at.

Peace
