Apparently, the 5th gen panel drops in with slight modification to the mounting tabs. Who'da thunk it.

damnnnnnnnn , i was gonn try and swap with my friends to see if it was gonna work, but damn that, i m just gonna buy one hehe, i was gonna fix the cancer on mine hahah. good find. oh by the way, does the slidding cover work good ? or did it have to remove it ?

I dont think you can use the sliding cover because you are still using the 4g sunroof frame, and not the 5th gen one. As far as I know, you only need the GLASS from the 5th gen, not the entire assembly. Someone better snatch this up before word gets out on this modification:

Yeah, I agree with Brendon. It's great, I actually want one, but I don't think I could stand the fact that it will always be open to see through. I'd like to have the slider that covers the glass.

Doing that is way easier than cutting up a metal sunroof and custom fitting a piece of lexan into the hole... Oh well... My project will go on

It shouldn't be too hard to modify the headliner to fit a sliding headliner in. I was planning on doing a glass swap this summer. I'll keep posted on the sliding cover
