Steering wheel shake/brake question.

Hey ok, I searched for steering wheel shaking and I found a lot of results. And I decided that it has to be my brake rotors. So I went to my shop and they told me that instead of buying new rotors they could just shave off the top layer of the stock ones (I think its called re-surfacing or something like that). He said it would be cheaper than buying all new ones. But I am not sure if this is what I need. I looked at the rotors themselves and they a **** load of crakes! I mean not just a couple but around the whole rotor it was just a cornucopia of crakes. It looked really bad so I was thinking that I would just be better of getting some Brembo Blanks or something like that, what do you guys think??

Thanks
Marcello

i just bought some brembo blanks, works just fine if you want to spend the extra cash, i mean i think its like 5 bux to resurface or ~60 bux for 2 brembo blanks, you could always try resurfacing just for fun/cheap fix just to narrow out if it is indeed your rotors

btw i posted somewhere else, it could be your radius rods not being tight, its a quick check

could also be unbalanced rims, alignment, etc

oh lol

well the radius rod is the part that is connected from your crossmember to the hub assembly, its a long "rod" basically

if you look at the front of the car and then look under the car with the splashguard off, you will see two holes in the crossmember with a bolt in each one, just tighten those

if you need a better picture of it i will try to find the pic on honda website parts list

I am not familiar with the radius rod either. I also have problems with steering wheel vibration which I am 99% sure is attributed to my worn out tires. However, I would still like to check out the radius rod.

If you could post a picture of what it looks like it would be appreciated.
