I'm thinking of getting a new wheel as well. A good portion of my steering wheel now feels like crappy suade as the leather has rubbed off over the years.

I'm sure this has already been discussed and I'm a bit lazy to search now, but does the S2k wheel fit on the 4g with some mods?

i don't think the 4g + s2k steering wheel works. because the 5th gen / 4th gen steering columns are different.

u are correct, they will NOT work...even the aftermarket hubs have different part #'s because the newer ludes have larger splines...

i also have a blue interior. i don't ever use my cruise control...it just gets in my way. my steering wheel is "loose" at the top, but in overall good condition. is anyone scared about driving without an airbag?

You are right, it has been discussed. You can't swap wheels due to the difference in hub splines. You can, however, modify an S2k wheel to make it fit. PM me if you are interested, we charge $130 for this service. That will include shipping the wheels back to you.

i bought a JDM leather wrapped wheel (non-srs) and it didnt fit right on my 92 (with srs). i actually had to take off the rotating hub that the cruise and horn wires come from. i love the wheel itself but it defeats teh purpose of having a wheel with 4 horn buttons and no horn. and i also liek to use the cruise on long trips (from VA to pittsburgh).

anyone have any ideas?

Let me make sure I understand.

If someone ships you a S2000 wheel, you can make it to fit on a 4th gen Lude?

If so, I will do this. I really want to keep cruise, horn, and most important, the Air Bag.

i didnt see any mention about whether or not you will be able to keep those items.....you have to make sure that the SRS harnesses are compatible as well...just because you can get the wheel to fit doens't mean that the horn, airbag, and cruise control will work....

im 99% sure its just a matter of changing out the splines and making it smaller to fit the 4th gen stock spline...with that said, one could even produce a washer/spacer of some sort that would increase the diameter of the 4th gen spline in order to accomodate the larger spline used by the s2k wheel....
