Steering Vibrations...clueless

My steering wheel vibrates like its out of balance or out of alignment. The thing is, i have had all the wheels balanced, and had an alignment done 3 times. Now, it vibrates funny sometimes as previously described, and sometimes it just rides like a new car - so to speak. The steering feels very loose compared to other ludes and accords i have driven. Should i just take the car to a mechanic to figure out what the hell is up or what? Is there anything else i need to check? I am thinking that something is loose, but not sure what it is!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does it happen when you are on the brakes?

Could be maybe a bent rim (or rims)? Maybe unevenly worn tires or flat spots on the tires?

they said a rim was bent.....it has been bent before, but it always balances out perfectly. it was fine before when i had the paradas......even if i put stockies back on, it's the same....that would not account for the looseness in steering and they are brand new tires too!

i have 17's with 215.40.17 tires.....isn't that the "right" size tires? i was thinking it was something loose, but not sure right. since it's steering, i will take it in, because if you can't turn - you're fvcked, right? Thanks for the help!

My car did the same thing, bad while cruising and horrible when braking from high mph. I got new tires and brakes and it went away.

If it's only when your braking then it's gotta be warped rotors.
When doe the vibration happen?
Low speeds?
High Speed?
Acellerating?
Decelerating?

i have a vibrating problem that only happens when i brake, the thing is its not always. i can brake hard a couple times, and it wont happen. if after one hard brake, i brake slightly at freeway speeds, its like a freaking earthquake

it's about the same all the time when it is vibrating. the thing that confuses me the MOST is that it does not happen all the time. It can go on for 5 minutes and be fine for a while, then start back up again. almost like it has a mind of it's own. when it first started, it was smoother when accelerating, but it's the same no matter what now. like i said, it either vibrates or it does not, not all the time though. i did the thing with the brakes sometimes it affects it, most of the time brakes do nothing.

I got my blanks from mike95lude, a sponsor here. He has a good deal for blanks and pads also. Worked well for me!
