Recently I put my 17's back on for the summer and I had them rebalanced. In a straight line every thing is fine, when I make a hard left turns with speed, 20mph or above the steering wheel shakes bad. It never did this before in the same conditions, (corner and current wheels). I have Ground Control and stock struts (for now). What could be the problem. Only on left turns and only if there is a strong load on the suspension. No problems if I'm driving slow or straight. Only on hard corners. Help? I'm worried
At 110k (especially a 4th gen - age) you can expect some joint wear even if the boots are OK. Unless you know they were changed, it might be a problem with them. Unfortunately the only way to check for sure is to remove them and check for proper movement... I'd just live with it until a boot tears or it gets worse.
Yeah but it makes the car handle sh;tty. I went for a drive on a nice curvey road the other day and all of the corners that were high speed turinig left putting pressure on the right wheel just felt terrible. Felt like when brake rotors are warped. I found a cv axle at http://www.cvaxles.com/ for $60 plus shipping. Sound like a good idea?

Not bad, but I'd want to be sure that it's the problem. You don't have any other symptoms? How many miles are on those struts? what spring rates are your GCs?
I'm not sure what spring rates my GC's are. When I ordered I requested a "street setup", struts are stock too, on my list for replacement this summer though, tie rod seems okay to me, I'll be replacing the axel soon, just waiting for it to come in on a stock order. Anything else to check?
Another perhaps stupid remark maybe but .... my sterring wheel was also shaking badly on my old worn tyres ..... problem disappeared permanently when I replaced them.

The tires are directional and have less the 5k miles on them. I will swap my stockies on for a bit and see if that helps, only problem is they have snow tires on them.
