Steering problems....solution

I know what i am gonna do to fix my steering problem. tonight since it was really really bad, i think i am just gonna go to the honda dealer and get it looked at to find out what the problem is. then get an estimate and say "thanks, i'll be back soon!" how's this sound? is that an idea?

A lot of Honda dealers charge you $60 to look at the car. If you do the work with them, the $60 goes to the cost. If you take the car, you are out $60

I was just skimming through the boards and thought I'd drop by here. I had a problem on my 5th gen that might help you solve your issue. There's an adjustment nut on the steering rack(right by the steering gears). There's specific steps on how to adjust that nut; you have to torque the screw loosen it a couple times. Go ahead and do the adjustment yourself and see if it helps any. If its still alittle loose, you could tighten the nut a little bit more; this will push the rack closer to the steeing gear thus giving a little more resistance to steer(what you want). Just dont make the nut too tight, or else the steering wheel wont center automatically when you make turns. Give it a shot...

The pic is in the helms manual. But here's a diagram: The components are #10, 6, 2, 5, 8.
