Static shocks

This is really annoying, I took the carpet out awhile back and it seems like everytime I get out of my car and shut my door I get shocked. This never happened before my carpet was in though. It doesn't hurt it just gets to the point where I finally noticed that everytime I touch the part above the glass window I know I will get shocked. This happened to anyone.

happens to me too, just try not to slide out of your seat- that'll lessen the pain. i got shocked through my leather jacket once and it hurt like a mofo.

Happens to me depends on the weather though.. just touch a metal part of the body while your foot touches the ground and you won't get shocked.

be sure you don't get back in your car when you are pumping gas. If it is really bad you could ignite some gas fumes

Thats anouther thing I am kind of scared of is getting blown up while I pump some gas. The static is starting to get stronger than it used to be, and it does hurt like hell when it goes through your cloths. Does this happen to people with leather seats too, cause I was thinking about going leather later in the future.

do a grounding mod to your car. you need some 4 or 8 gauge wire. make like 5 pieces hook one end of all of them to the negative battery terminal. for the others ends one can go on each of the control arm bolts. and search for 3 other good grounding points. i cant remember right now some other common spots people use for grounds.

They sell anti static spray at Office Depot. Or you can be cheap
and make your own here with fabric softener.
