starting the car...

i've done a search, but couldn't find exactly what my problem is. when my 94 lude sits for awhile (meaning overnight or even 7-8 hours) and i go to start it, it takes awhile for it to turn over. it takes a couple more seconds to actually turn over than normal. normally, i just turn the key for a second and it's on, but when it sits for a little while, it takes couple seconds more. it may not be bad, but it bothers the crap out of me..any suggestions??

At first I thought something was wrong but after talking to other owners, theirs does the same....

In the morning first thing, it takes about 3 seconds to fire - while when warm takes 1 second or less.

When my battery was going dead I could still start the but it took a while like 5 seconds. When it isn't warm outside it takes a second for the car to start cold.

I will say....your FI-Main Relay is fried. It need to be replaced. I had the same problem expecially on hot days.
When you turn the ignition w/o starting the car, listen for a click sound.

Dude, I've been having this problem every winter. It's as though you're trying to start without pushing the clutch down. I've asked numerous times on different boards, no one can give me an answer. I've just learned to live with it. I would go check your clutch pedal, making sure it's a proper height....
