Starter...

I think my starter is bad, so we are gonna take it off and get it replaced, how would you go about taking it off, any pics would help and step by step directions would be great. Once again how would you remove the starter? Thanks

did you try the starter relay that's a common problem with 4th gen ludes. have you noticed it going bad over a long period of time. If so you may want to get that first since it's a pretty common problem but if your starter is just really old it may need replaced anyway.

Peace

when he puts his key in an turns it the radio comes on, but when he trys to crank it up it just clicks (like the battery is dead) I told him to check either that relay or even the battery.. i doubt its the start because there were no symptoms.. it started up fine earlier that day..

get a metal pipe/wrench whatever. Pop the hood have your freind try and crank it, if it clicks then bang the starter a few times while he's cranking it. If the car turns over it's cause the starter has engaged. If this happens then you know it's crap. Replacing the starter on a lude is really easy. it's only 2 or 3 bolts and a plug. retty self explanatory if you just look at it
