squeeky distributor?

I thought it might be a slighty worn belt, but then I remembered putting on new ones about 5k ago with my AEM pulleys, so I listened around the engine bay, and my distibutor(possibly starter, but that makes no sense) sounds like a belt that's just starting to go. Anyone have any ideas?

I think mine is doing that too. I also started blowing intermittent code 9 (Cylinder Position Sensor). I think I need a new one.

I seem to remember people saying to look on the inside of the cap for red dust? That's one sign it's going.

Ouch....both of you need new distributors.

I'd get it fixed pretty soon.....one member had his bearing sieze and therefore lock his exhaust cam and things went BOOM.

Okay I better get on one ASAP. Hey are all H/F series distributors the same?

Like an F22A and H22a...same right?

I doubt the F series are, but H23/USDM H22 are.

F22 distributor is different. Jeremy is correct on the H23/22 being the same. Won't be long before your distributors go and you guy are stuck on the side of the road.

Well my car is going away soon.

Has anyone wired an OBDI distributor for OBDII?

Since I alread have the CKP down on the oil pump, is it possible to put an OBDI distributor on and just wire it and ignore the CKP on there? I don't know if the plugs are the same or anything but it would be nice if they were.

I haven't checked really. But my code was CYP aka still in the dist. But the code hasn't come back in a while...so I don't know what the heck is up.

I have popped the hood and listened to the dist really closely and I don't hear anything. Just one time from inside the car...which isn't so accurate.
