Squeeking problems

my car has just started squeeking lately. it starts right at 35 mph every time. i think its either brakes or wheel bearing. it starts at 35 mph everytime and squeels until about 50-60 mph, the stops when above that range, or i cant hear it. and then it continues until i come to a complete stop.

I havent a clue.

Anyone?

Are you sure it's coming from the wheels? Or could it be a belt?

well, it doesnt start until 35 mph....that leads me to believe that it would not be a belt.

First off, defective wheel bearings don't make a "squeaky" sound. They sound sort of like one of those big mud tires do going down the road (low, growling sound), and it's constant. So disregard that. Check all of your basic brake foundation and see if you can visually find the problem. Are you having any other issues, other than the sound itself? Is it veering to one side, rough steering wheel, etc.? Worst comes to worst, inspect the drive axles as well as the intermediate shaft, bearings, etc. Like I said, it's not a bad wheel bearing cuz that would be constant.

since it starts at 35 and continues it makes me think its the brakes, but also i am not sure about it because they dont really grind. should i just take the wheel off and look and see if the brakes are "bad" agian?

When was the last time you changed your brakes? If you have access to a micrometer, measure the rotor for parallelism and out of round. Also, make sure the pads look okay. If it's in the brakes, it's more than likely the pads, and not the rotors. Never hurts to check though.
