squeaky brakes

My brakes squeak when I stop, right when I am about to stop, like at 1-2mph. The mechanic told me the brake pads are fine and have alot of life, he even clean them up. Could this be cause by warped rotors?

This could be because the are cheap and also because when your pds where installed they didn't put some sort of grease on the back side of the pad to help absord vibration.

the anti-seize has just been worn off. no big deal. just drive it around till you need new pads.

If the pads have a high metal content in them, then they will squeak no matter what you do to them. There should be shims on the back side of the pads to help absorb the noise. If the shims are worn and or missing, it can also cause a squeak. I would suggest that next time you have the pads replaced, specify that you want OEM pads. The OEM pads comes with all the shims and the anti-seize for the pads. They cost a little more, but I believe that it's well worth it.
