SPOON Sports Radiator cap on a 4th gen...

Hey guys.. i know several of you guys with 4th gens have the SPOON high pressure radiator cap on your radiator. Did it fit right away with no adjustments? The one i'm asking is the EG/EK/DC2 series . The thing i wanna know if it fit right on with no mods. Thanks.

well, it depends on what radiator you have...I have the stock Prelude Radiator, but the top tank cracked and it was replaced...I have some other tank on top, either an Integra one, or a Civic one...so I had to send mine back and get the other one. It's one of two, and one of the two WILL fit if you have a Honda Radiator.

Here is my Spoon Radiator Cap... I bought the "F-Type" which fit perfectly on my stock radiator. Got it from www.inlinefour.com

I just went through the ordering process and ended up with the wrong one.

You have to look on the top of the radiator for an etching in white. If your radiator says "Denso" you will need to order the D-type radiator cap. If it says "Toyo" then you will need to order the F-type cap.

Thanks Ryan. Yours appears to be the D-type like mine which was for the Denso radiator.

That may come in handy in the future since you didn't know who manufactured your radiator due to the tank being changed.

So Mark, what did you end up buying? If you have a D and need to sell, let me know.

I ordered the F-type first and when I received it I could see that it was clearly the wrong size so I sent it back and they sent me the correct D-type with no hassels whatsoever.

I ordered it from R & D (sponsors of the board) for $40 shipped. Give them a call if you want one, you won't be disappointed with the service!

Mark
