I was going to get this cap but any store i go to it says 97-00 prelude. But i know people in the past with 4gens have gotten it. Is it different or can i buy it. I was looking to get it from inlinefour.com
I got mine from www.inlinefour.com as well. They are great guys. Anyways, I am pretty sure that the one you will need is the "F" type... that is what I have on my 4th Gen. The best idea is to take off your stock cap, then compare it to the picture of the spoon cap on the site. The one that most resembles yours is the one you need. That is exactly what I did.
I got mine at www.optauto.com I wasn't smart enough to pull mine off and compare first, so I got the wrong one. (note: My top tank had been changed so this may be the reason) I called them up, sent it back, and they sent me the one that would fit right.
Voila!

You have to look at your radiator. If your radiator says "Denso" then you will need the D-Type cap. If your radiator is made by Toyo or doesn't have any markings on the top of it then you need the F-type.
Cantdrive, you have the D-type. It's very round when compared to the F-type.

I think his is different because his endcap cracked and he had if replaced. I need to get some underhood spoon goodies.

I know he had his tank replaced but you can visually tell the difference between the two caps. The D-type cap is round, while the F-type cap resembles an oval.
I just wanted to let Ryan know what cap he had just in case he needed that info for future reference since his top was changed and there are no markings to go by.
Actually, the SS fifth gens use the Toyo Radiator which uses the F-Type the others use Denso... like the 4th gens... I got a Koyo Racing and it'd seem that it also requires an F-Type...
