My B.S. alert is going off like mad... the brackets look painted, they are either anadized or powder coated on the real ones. and the angle of the bar's too bends looks alot more aggressive than mine...

Did they completely grind off both brackets at the back? they usualy don't look like that....

the mounting brackets do look about 1/2 the size of others pictured on this site....
