I got both used for $400 Canadian so $250US. AFAIK there are no more "new" bars but the front used to go for about $160-175US+shipping I think.

u know... thats one of my problems with ebay, if it werent for all the stupid bidders, there would be so many more good (awesome) deals... ive been watching prelude stuff for months, and people bid on things the first day out of its 10 day life span why? they know they aint gonna win. they just drive the price up. i say if u know u gonna loose dont drive it up. there will always be another one put up for bid, what ever it is, and will probably be cheaper than the first one.

so dont bid on an item like its the last item of its kind in the world!

prices for these items have steadly fallen:
jdm headlights
wire mesh kits
floor mats
just to name a few, but some of these items go for way to much cause to many people bid on it.

i know i know, thats just they way ebay is and im gonna have to deal with it.

anyway, ive had that bar in my watch list since the day it was listed, and i havent bid on it... im not going to eaither, i just bought a neuspeed. but if it goes over 200 dont do it, u can have a new one for that price.

4th and 5th gen strut tower braces are interchangeable. 5th gen owners need only to disconnect and move a harness, takes all of 2 minutes to do.

I organized a group buy of Spoon bars for about 30 people. I know for a fact that the Spoon is the same for the 4th/5th gens front and rear.

Honda didn't change any of the suspension geometry in the 5th gen from the 4th. All suspension components will swap, save for mixing Type Sh and other springs/struts. The towers didn't change at all.

Cool. I guess people just got frustrated with the install and blamed it on 4th/5th gen differences instead of just grinding the bar like you have to.

What's this grinding? My bar was a Spoon made for 4th/5th gens, there is NO difference in the Spoon! I have yet to hear of any strut tower brace difference of any brand for the 4th or 5th gen.

What the hell are people grinding? It should drop on to either chassis, no problem.

....werd, I had no problems. I used to have a front DC strut bar before my SPoon that was from a 97+ prelude, fit fine.... no problems

i got my neuspeed front strut tower bar installed and oh what a difference it makes! it's a definite recommendation for a first upgrade. i'm running stock suspensions and i can't believe how much better it handles, i can take corners very fast, very easily now!

I don't know where this stuff came from, the strut tower braces swap fine between the two gen's.

If anyone here ratcheted the bid up to what it is, you are very very stupid (or very rich). The Spoon bar is NOT worth that much.

? Really? My brake line was directly in the way...I could have bent it more...but I machined a piece off the back corner that did not affect the strength of the bar to make it fit.
