hmm... they could've cut it in the middle and make it longer, because the Lude is wider. email him and see what he did. Aren't the 2 pieces similar in price?

I think they are similar in price, but I think they stopped making the Prelude one...or it's special order.

Anyone know what ever happened to all those emails sent to companies, or people cloning the orginal?

I think I started that thread ... a while back. As far as I can remember, nothing came to be of all the work that a few people were doing to get lazy companies to clone the original. They never did want the money of probably more than a hundred people (at least). Lazy f@cking companies...

youre mistaken.

that is the Spoon Carbon Fiber front lip for preludes. he makes no mention of Spoon Civic lip in his setup page. he does say he has a custom modified Mugen Civic spoiler, but that has nothing to do with the front lip.

the Spoon Carbon Fiber from lip is very hard to come by. the only two pictures ive seen of it is that car and this one:

I think a hundred is a little ambitious; maybe 30-40. People don't appreciate the Spoon lip. Most people think that why should they pay $500 for a lip when they can spend that much on a massive super 8-piece kit.

I think illusion is right. It looks just like the picture of the white one.

I guess I was off ... but at the time, it did seem like we had massive numbers of people wanting that lip. I will not rescind my statement of calling the companies lazy, however. 500 times 40-50 is a lot of money to be made, no matter how ya cut it ... 25G's. Oh well, we'll just have to deal w/ it...

It was me that started the thread with trying to get companies to clone the lip. Every one that i emailed didn't even bother responding to me. Every single one. Sh!tty. I just gave up dudes, sorry. As for ordering the lip from a japanese company, they are on a SUPER back order right now. Spoon is waiting to get at least 200-300 orders for the lip before they start manufacturing them again. Hmmmm, lets see, not going to happen

Here are other pics of the lip painted(kid had to paint it because he got into accident with it and it cracked).

I found this picture on preludecrazy.com. It's from a company called 'Topmix'. Non-Carbon Fiber Spoon clone? Anyone else heard of it?

Hmmmm ... this has possibilities. If I knew how to make c/f molds, I'd pick one up and make my own Spoon replicas. Anybody know how to make molds, and is good w/ c/f working?????????? You could make a lot of dough off of this.
