I just bought a pair of Spoon Caliper for my 4 gen.
What do I need to do the swap .... My lude is 92 S
I know that :
I need the brake master cylinder from a SRV.
The dimension of the front rotor must be like the one on SRV ( i bought Rotora )
Brake pad...from 5 gen ( i bought Project Mu NS pad )
you just got me thinking, im doing a brake upgrade from an S to 5th gen vtec caliper and rotors.. so i have to upgrade my master cylindar as well right?

I'm sure it would be helpful, I mean considering the system is probably only as good as it's weakest link, it would be good to install an Si/VTEC master cylinder (make no mistake Si owners, we have the same brake master cylinder as VTECs have - 46100-SS0-A53)
As mike said azn, "drool" ... how much did you pick those bad boys up for? Those are 4-pot twin blocks, right?
yes
i started with a 92 Si
for my upgrade i got away with 11" 4th gen VTEC brembo slotted rotors, 4th gen VTEC/5th gen brake pads and earls SS lines.
came out good for me, only think i remember being important is that you use the brackets that are made for the calipers you use. As in i used "Fully Loaded" remanned calipers from rockauto.com which inlcludes the caliper brackets.
so make usre u got the spoon brackets

hey kris. So you didn't swap your brake master cylinder then? I didn't really think much about it when I posted before, maybe it doesn't make much of a difference.
no i didnt swap the master cylinder, but i think some1 said the VTEC/Si have the same master cylinder anyway, maybe on the (S) 4th gen it would make a difference.

Exactly correct. The 4th Gen Si & VTEC bought have the same exact master brake cylinder. The 4th gen S had a smaller brake cylinder.
nope it the other way around s and si should have the same, we have the same caliper
naa dude, it was correctly explained the first time, check the part numbers, Si and VTEC share the same brake master cylinder (46100-SS0-A53) whereas the S has a different one (46100-SM4-A04)
Very nice azn, btw, are your rotora rotors coated on the outer edge as well?
^^ good stuff. Oh yeah, Azn, if it's at all possible, while you have your stock brakes still on, set some cones up in a parking lot and check your 70-0 brake distances, then test them again with the spoon calipers.
The only thing that's lame with using NSX calipers is having to use another shim to compensate for the thinness of the Prelude VTEC rotor.
