Spoiler LED

I'm repainting my whole car, and I decided to get the 94+ spoiler with the integrated LED. I was wondering what the best way to splice these into your rear taillights is. I'm fairly electronically savvy. However I wasn't sure if I should pull the power from right behind the taillight or from the harness further back. Thanks Guys!

I spliced mine into the 3rd brake light in the window. That way it would only come on when I stepped on the brakes. I ran the wire with no problem up the rear column to the brake light and spliced it in there. If you don't hook up the 3rd brake light the dash light saying you have a bulb out will come on. I was going to wire some resistors into the line so both the dash light and 3rd brake light didn't come on.... but there is little room to work with.

Thanks, I forgot that if I spliced it into the tails, I would have another running light at night!!! Not a bad idea I guess. Anyway this helps me a lot. Thanks Again

How much are you asking for the stock spoiler?
