Speedometer or VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) Question

I recently changed out my transmission and while doing so, I had to remove the vehicle speed sensor. Alot of oil squirted out from the lines while it was off and I was wondering what kind of oil it uses and where it is located. I just took my car out for a test drive and the speedometer works under normal driving conditions, but when I punch it, the needle drops and flutter back and forth in the same spot. My power steerin fluid is low, could this be the problem?

Get the front wheels off the ground, start the car and let it idle...
Top off the p/s fluid with Honda P/S fluid.. turn your steerinf wheel back and forth a bunch, top off p/s fluid.
repeat until all the air is out of the system.

Your VSS sensor sits on top of the variable power steering asist device (2 hoses filled with oil). Make sure you have all the air bled out and the sensor has a good connection. Also be sure your VSS/VPA(Variable power assist) unit is in there tight.

Thats what you were talking about right?

What do you mean by top off the power steering fluid? Do I take the top off the power steering, fill it up, then begin to turn my wheels?

That oil is power steering fluid, that's why it's low now, just add some up to the full line, turn the steering a bit, if it gets lower add more until it stays at the full line
