Speedometer not working!!!

hi i am new to this forum and i just recently purchased a 1992 prelude si, swapped with a h22a engine.

the problem is the tachometer works, but the speedometer works, i took it to a shop and they said they need to use a computer to check whats wrong or replace the vss for 270!!!

Look for your shift linkages and look for the shift linkage mount, then maybe a couple of inches to the right of the mount on top of the transmission you will see a grey harness plug that runs about 2 inches to to your VSS. There will be two 10mm bolts attaching the sensor to the transmission.
