After the swap the speedometer doesnt work. has anyone's speedometer stop working, what did you do to fix it. I can i try? I know its gotta be a wire some where but i dont know which one and i cant find it in the helms.

might wanna check out the speed sensor..
yeah the tach works... I check the connection on the speed sensor and it was connected... but going from auto to 5 speed, we had to cut some wires and i'm wondering if one of them what the signal for the speedometer..
i thought the tach and the speedometer work together and the ecu used some kind of formula to calculate speed.. not toos ure tho.. what i would do if i was you is go and look at the color of the wires you cut and look them up and see what they are..

well i went to go do that but the helm doesnt tell what the wires are for unless i'm looking in the wrong place...
generally.... the speed sensor is located somewhere on the tranny, that's to my understanding, so you might have done something when switching from auto to 5-spd.

No because then the speedo wouldn't work with the car in neutral. There is a speedometer gear in the transmition. I am not sure how that is transmitted to the speedometer but the reading comes from the tranny.
The speed sensor is under the throttle body and a little to the front of the car. it should be a little connector either green or grey on top of the tranny. most likely its grey, its kind of hard to see so use a flashlight and keep looking.
