speedometer adjust?

hello again guys, so i was recently having problems where my speedometer wouldnt work at all i took the cluster out put a 9v battery to the motherboard to make sure that the needles still worked and they did, so i fixed the problem it was a wire. but.. now as soon as i turn the key to power the one before start my needle jumps to 25mph and its always 25mph fast is there anyway to adjust this back down to 0? thanks in advance

i never heard of adjusting it. but go to a junk yard and get a speed sensor before playing around with your cluster again.

ive already changed out the vss with a known good one the speedo didnt start doing this untill i took it out and messed with it, like theres 3 holes on the circuit board where if you put power the needle jumps up and its just 25 mph too much

maybe you need to re-calibrate the needles..possibly the dealership can do it.
