Hey, i have 205 50 series tires on the stock alloys. And i hear people always talking about top speeds.... i was on a backroad today (thought i would mention that, its empty and paived) and thought i'd see whats up...

So at 4th gear redline, i almost hit 100mph..... 5th gear redline.... between 115 and 120..... seems awfully low...

I also notice, that in 5th gear at 60mph when cruising im at almost 4k rpm's.... And i know that i'm about 5mph off.. because when i do 80mph on my speedometer, im really doing about 73 or 74 (i had a friend pace me and let me know)...

Now, would the smaller size make a huge difference on the top end like that? I figure it will..... gotta do more RPM's to get the wheels around faster to cover the same distance... makes since.. just odd...

BUT! 0-60mph with the 205 50's is quick =]

What concerns me is when i get to the 1/4 mile track, i hope that doesnt hurt my top speed and the last 500 or so feet.. and i slow down coniderably the higher i go in the gearing.

Or well, not really "slow down" but the rpm's climb fast and i go through the gears faster.
