Somethings unplugged on my engine

So this is the first time I opened the hood to my car today, and I only did it for a second to check on my radiator.. Anyway, I glance over and I notice there's something unscrewed. Its on the engine, right next to where the cam gears/timing belt is.. it looks like it grounds something out... just 1 bolt and 1 wire getting held down by the bolt.. anyone know what that is off the top of their head? It had to have been removed when I had the Alarm installed and they forgot to put it on even tho there's no reason for them to be there... I dont have time to take a pic so use ur imagination! Thanks guys. "Holler Back"

Put the bolt back in! It's probably just a ground.

Quite sure that is your main engine ground by the way you describe it. The length of the attached wire should give you an idea where it should re-bolt to.

It's just the main engine ground won't really hurt if it is off.

It goes to the valve cover right? I had to take it off when I switched covers.

But I put it back on

The ground wire that goes on the side of the vave cover goes to the motor mount. When I did my timing belt I didn't really think it attches to anything.
