Someone wanna help me out, wiring related with 4g EL cluster
Ok so some guy had a spare cluster and had me pick it up. He wanted me to try to mod it.
I can't find the wire listing for the 4g EL cluster anywhere.
these are the only 2 harnesses that are sticking out. There is acutually a 3rd harness at the bottom that plugs into a board, and that board doesn't plug into ANYTHING haha..
anyway
I need to find
-parking light wire
-ignition wire
Nowhere in those clump of wires can i find a "red/black" for the parking light, or a black/yellow for the ignition
anyone with a helms wanna help me out?

Helms isn't going to help you out. You need the electrical manual for the 1996 prelude (made by Helms). That's what I got when I did my EL conversion. I'll see if I can find the wires you need. I hope you have the DC to AC converter. Also, there should be a harness for every one you see on that gauge.

Yea I have the dc/ac inverter. All I really want to know is the ignition wire (I assume it's the ignition wire) to get the tubes to light up to test it. I don't care for the other components for now, unless you happen to know the turn signal wires and high beam then that'd be cool also
thanks for your time

My domain name has changed. If any pics I have posted in the past appear to be missing you will need to copy the old link of the image(right click on the red X or not found link and click view the properties of the image, or quote my post to get the URL), remove the gzone.homelinux.org part, and replate it with thegzone.net/old_site/. Thanks.
Yeah, I can give you all that info when I get home tonight. I do know that you need to have a constant (hot at all times) lead running as well as the ignition wire. It will still turn on if you don't have the hot at all times wire connected, but it will just take a lot longer. Anyway, I'll take a look at the wire diagram later tonight.
Ok, on connector 623 (on the far left if looking at the gauge from the back) The white/yel wire on pin #3 is hot all the time. The yellow wire on pin #1 is the ignition (turns on when you start the car). As for the turn signals, it's a bit more complicated to give you the wiring directions w/o just sending you the diagrams. If you really need it, I suppose I could scan the pages in and send em to you. I won't be able to do it till after Easter, though..... Good luck
I found a link on HPOA, at first, the wires did not match, BUT, that's because the wires were SO dirty that I couldn't tell (the yellow looked gray -_- )
Thanks for the help!
