someone help me with my Q!!!

hey guys have a question!! My 4th gen prelude has a hight mounted brake light on the rearwind shiel is there any way of removin that so i can get an OEM spoiler with LED?? or do i have to get one without the LED..i think that if i kept the high mounted 3rd brake light and get an LED spoiler it would just be too much lighting...also if i did remove the 3rd brakelight would be warning light go on, on my dashboard (the light the goes on when one of my lights are blown out)) ??? pleaz help me out guys ASAP!!...THNX SOO MUCH!
PEACE!!!

except you have to look at the light on your dash that says "brake light/lamp?" whenever you are driving.

So run a jumper wire across the terminals.

I don't know how the LED spoilers are wired in, but if you are at all good with electronics you could wire it to where your 3rd brake light used to be. I dont know what it would look like at your headliner if you completely removed the housing and everyhting though.....

I used some vinyl to make a honda emblem in mine. Blacked out most of it. Apart from the girl flipping you off......

this is what it looks like. Both the spoiler and that light work

It looks better in person. The camera I was using wasn't that great. Maybe I can shoot some tonight with my digi cam if you want.

Yes it is possible. But it is gonna cost more money than getting another one. I Bought, installed, and painted my spoiler for 245.00.

The whole housing can be removed.

It is number 20.

22 is the housing that covers the screws.

13 are the screws you remove. It just pulls off after that

There will be two holes on one side and three on the other. Probably some abrasion marks as well. I had my body shop use 3M double sided tape to keep it in place cause I couldn't find a better option for a spoiler. I found my spoiler on EBAY for 87 bucks. Check there. Don't go to Honda. They are a big rip. I will post some pics tomorrow so you can see the results.

OK.. here are my day time pics. Now that I look at it I think the tape I was using slipped so I am going to take it out tonight and fix it up right. I can take some pics of that too if you want.

The ghetto white strip is what I use to keep if from vibrating.

When you take the housing out it leaves a big nasty hole in the back. Even if you put the cover back on. I didn't like the way it looked without it on there so I left it.

oh man that stinks...now i think im gonna go for a OEM wing without the LED light....cuz 4 brake lights would be too much and removing the 3rd high mount one would leave a big hole in that spot..so i guess ill just look for a spoiler without the LED light...too bad i really liked the LED especially at night...oh well!!
thanks anyways!!!
later man!!

Well.... the dash light will come on if you pull the bulb out. That light turns on when the circuit is broken. All it really looks for is a resistance as that is all the bulb is. You can get some resistors from some place like Radio shack and your dash light won't come on and you won't see the 3rd brake light.
