Alright, this might come of kinda' harsh, but hey. . .everyone here thinks I'm a dick already, so why fight it?
Buy the Helms manual. If you can afford the $2000+ price of this engine swap, you can afford the manual. You are going to spend 2x the cost of the manual on fluids and hoses alone while doing this swap. Would you let a doctor do heart surgery on you if he was following instructions cobbled together by some 19 year old punk-kid working in his garage (me)?
The benefits of having the manaul during the swap are numerous:
1) If you get stuck, you don't need to post a question and wait hours for response. You can find the answer in a few minutes.
2) WIRING DIAGRAMS/VACCUM DIAGRAMS. I spent probably 3-4 hours pouring over the wiring diagrams when doing my swap. You NEED these!
3) TORQUE SPECS. You don't want to be "guestimating" how tight your engine mounts or suspension bolts should be.
4) FUTURE USE. Buy it once, use it for the life of the car. Essentially EVERY procedure you would ever think of doing on your car is detailed in the manual, with step by step instructions and and exploded views.
That being said, I do realize this might be a budget oriented project. You MAY (key word = may) be able to get by using the PDF in the FAQ.
