Someone with a Helms..

I seem to have misplaced my Helms when I moved into my new house, and I need a couple torque specs out of it. Someon with one please look up the torque of the Axle/Hub nut for me, and the torque of the upper and lower front ball joint nuts. This pisses me off, I can't find the thing. I thought I had it in my Tool box, but it's no where to be found. I am replacing my axles with some nice new Driveshaft shop stage 3 units. I have the axles out of the car, and it's sitting on the lift as we speak. So if you can please post the numbers I would appreciate it. Off to Helmsinc.com to order a new manual.

Hi-

If I have the same in mind as you do, I *believe* the torque spec for the axle/hub is 43ft and the ball joints are around 40ft.

Good luck

Thanks for the guess. But I really need the actual info. I never half ass anything. I ordered a new Helms, but I still have the car on the lift awaiting the actual torque specs. I know there is someone out there with a Helms readily available.

I believe that the info would be under the drivetrain and suspension sections

If your talking about the spindle nut it's 181 lb-ft. The castle nuts for the ball joint are 36-43 lb-ft. Hope this helps.

I moved to Dickson after getting out of the Army instead of moving back to Cincinnati. Where do you live?
