Yeah, you can turbo a SOHC engine. Having one or two cams doesn't decide whether you can F/I it or not. The SOHC engines in preludes are F22's out of accords, there's tons. Basically all the same. In our preludes the F22a1 is SOHC and pretty much boost ready, the hardest part is finding a good manifold. I hear some DSM's bolt right up, haven't researched or confirmed that though. Other than that, the process is the same as far as turbo kits.
To your 2nd question. You can get your hands on a manifold that'll fit and then piece together the parts separately, like I will in the future. Or risk by buying a 1,000 dollar ebay turbo kit (have yet to see someone recommend one of those) or one of these
