Soft Clutch ?

I'm not sure if anyone has this problem, but my 92 has a really soft clutch. It doesn't seem really stiff. When I press down on it, its really soft. IT feels loose. another question, what is SRS?

SRS - If i remember correctly...It has to be do with airbags... Something restraint supplement ? I forgot. Flip down your visor and there's your answer.

My clutch is pretty soft as well, i think its just our cars? .. my 85 was really stiff compared to this one ... theres about an inch of play before theres even pressure on the pedal .. .it was the same in every of the 4gen preludes I drove before I decided on buying this one.

o yea, same with me, theres about a inch of play before it even starts to engage. i find myself sometimes not pressing all the way down when switching gears because it doesnt engage at that point.

Check your fluid level, and your then check your clutch master cylinder for leaks. Then flush the system and bleed it. If that doesnt work, then you need a clutch.

Probably fluid bc i had that same problem when it started getting cold here, it was even hard to change gears... thing is i cant find a leak anywhere, so i dont know where all the fluid is!!!
But it may be the pressure cylinder.
It definatly should not have an inch of play, it should be very tight.

Whitea207: 4th gen Si (mines 4ws) your saying should have no slack in the clutch pedal at all when its fully released ? I can flick it with my foot and it'll go that one inch and bounce back ...

Time to bleed the lines and check the fluid level I guess is what your recommending?

I have noticed since its gotten colder out (-20ish) around 0 its still good (thats celcius) but super cold it doesnt shift into 1st as smooth, I have to push the pedal all the way down as hard as I can ..

otherwise its all good.
