so my car got hit...

3 days ago, a autozone delivery truck backed up into my driver side front fender. The only thing is they ll have to blend in 3 quarters of the car. My paint is still good, just faded after 10 years. So i m debating wheather to paint the whole car. I got a pretty high estimate, and if i add bout 500 more i can get a sick ass white paint job ( we r talkin 2K over here ) . I wanna stay with white, but not a pearl ( that costs a lot more ) i really like it, so i was looking at a bunch of different whites and came accross the M3 Alpine white, which just looks rediculously sick. If you guys can think of a nice white thats not a pearl, point it out.

thx

here is a Apline white

damn, that looks sick. i dont know if youll be able to top that m3 alpine white. i love white and im glad your sticking with it. i would say repaint the whole car if it only costs $500 more. with a sick paint job like that, you dont have to worry about the other faded quarter. if it were me, the only question would be, what color?

yea its pretty badass, the only thing is i m forced to do the 5g moonroof conversion, cause the body shop said that my sunroof has gone to heaven a long time ago. Rust hit my sunroof so hard it chips everyday. So i have to get that glass moonroof asap.

Go with S2000 white. Or you could just get the 5th gen white w/o the pearl coating. The pearl in the paint is a seperate layer.

ohh damn that sucks, you were in the car?! Talk about a feeling of helplessness and impending doom as the large rectangular box rear of an autozone truck slowly but surely moves towards the frost white fender of your white prelude.

Not sure which is worse, that or standing near the car or walking towards it and witnessing the rape of your pride and joy.

haha yea, i was right there, and couldnt do ****. I could have gone through b4 he hit me, but that area where you get has those big things where they hook up the pumps to refill the gas, and since my car is basically slammed, i had to go mad slow on em, so it was either floorin it to get out the way, rub hard and hit the oil tank or scracht the headers bad, or even blow the shocks since they are on stiff level or damage something else to my car so i honked like crazy and he was already in my fender !. Even if i had floored it, i dont think i coulda made it, cause he was already right there, and woulda hit my door most likely.

let me get this straight, you're spending 2000$ on a paint job and you're just going to get white?

^^^ well that 2000 includes a lot of body word, and a lot of r&I and so on, but yea, this place im getting it done at is well known for their work. Thats the price to pay, anything else is over 3K easy, i m gettin a deal cause i know the manager and the painter. I dont want a color change, i like how the car stands out just the way it is now, this new white will just enhance it even more. read what i wrote in my sig, u ll get what i mean . I like how white comes out with my theme. plus that alpine white is just sick !

A lil update on this....

I dropped off the car today at the bodyshop. They said they are getting right on it. So they gave me a time frame from 5 to 7 days. So Alpine white was the final choice. I put the sample against my car, and it looks kinda like a pearly white, but i guess i have to wait and see how it comes out. THey will be repaintin my weather strips black, they ll also redo the window moldings on all 6 windows to a flat black, along with my accord kit. I told em to leave the sun roof as is, I have to drive to tampa monday or tuesday to go scoop up a glass sunroof from a 5th gen. They got whole assemblies for like 150, so i ma get on that. I will try to go there on tuesday and get some pics.

They got me a 04 stratus as a rental, its ight, but its slow as hell, i m still gonna be beatin the hell out of it. I was comin home today and somehow as i was braking, my left foot stomped on the other part of the brake pedal lookin for the clutch!
